Careers at Hunter

Vo-Techs:
The Hunter Family of Companies actively works with and recruits from our local vocational-technical schools for part-time, full-time and summer opportunities. We have been fortunate to share opportunities with a number of vo-tech schools, such as cooperative education, training resources and field trips. Over the years, we have donated engines, transmissions and vehicles to be used for the education of these students. We have found that these individuals possess the basic skills we need to start them on a successful career path in the trucking industry. Many of these students eventually participate in our tuition reimbursement program and pursue a further technical certification or degree. If you are a vo-tech student interested in working at a Hunter location, please contact us!

In-House Training:
Our Hunter training programs address all areas of heavy-duty vehicle parts and repair. We bring the latest technology and diagnostics to our employees on-site to give them an edge in the trucking industry. All programs are free to our employees and they are paid for their training time.

These training areas include:
Engine, Transmission, HVAC, Drive-line, Warranty, Safety, Basic Electrical and Troubleshooting, Computer Skills, ABS Brakes, Cooling Systems and Emissions Systems.

Opportunity for Advancement at Hunter:
The Hunter Family of Companies promotes employees in-house, where possible. Many of our former entry-level employees are now Supervisors, Managers and Executive-level management. Each employee is reviewed annually for performance, areas of advancement, education and interests. We provide tuition reimbursement for those who pursue certifications and degrees in a company-related field.

Candidates:
We are looking for men and women who want a career with an American company that strives for excellence in the trucking industry. We are a national leader in our field and we want those who will lead us into new areas of innovation and technology. All candidates must have a team approach to working, be willing to teach others their craft, and have a drive to learn new technologies.
